ABOUT

Hello! My name is McKinley Leavitt. I am 4th year student in the accredited Interior Design program at North Dakota State University. I will be graduating May 2024 with a bachelors of science degree in Interior Design and a minor in Spanish.

I have always been interested in interior design growing up. One of my favorite pass times was and still is scrolling through Pinterest looking at houses and architecture. This sparked my career interest in interior design, as well as rearranging and decorating my room when I was little. Once I was older, my dad let me paint the living room and kitchen and let me do anything as close to interior design as I could around the house. What I love about interior design is that applies creativity to spaces, and allows you to see the process of a design develop into its final product.

I went to a Spanish speaking language academy for elementary school where I learned to write, speak and read in another language at a young age. I have completed my minor in Spanish and hope to continue to use my Spanish skills in the future.

This past summer I interned with EAPC Architects Engineers in the St. Paul, Minnesota office, I am currently working in the Fargo office as I finish up the academic year.
